Ingredients:
2 Buttermilk Biscuits containers2 Jars of Cherries
3 Apples
1/4 cup cane sugar
Directions:
1. Peel the apples and finely chop them. Mix the chopped apples with sugar in small bowl and set aside.
2. Strain the cherries in another bowl. I purchase the cherries at Trader Joes and they are called "merello cherries". They come in a decent size glass jar. These little cherries are so delicious that I put them in everything from cakes to crepes. You can add them to ice cream and on top of pancakes.
3. Open up the biscuit containers and separate the dough slices and put them on a cookie pan. Let them rise in size, which typically takes an hour.2. Strain the cherries in another bowl. 4. Take the individual dough slices and spread them out into a flat circle.
5. Put the fruit or whatever filling you will be using into the center of the flattened dough circle.
6. Add the two horizontal flaps together by pinching the two sides.
7. Twist the pinched side to make a pretty design or you can use a fork to create a unique design as well. Use your imagination ladies and gentlemen.
8. Butter the bottom of a cookie pan or use parchment paper and put the fruit filled pasties next to each other.
9. Bake on 350 degrees for about 35-40 Minutes. The pastries will be golden brown when done.
10. Let them cool and enjoy with a cold glass of milk!
