Homemade Chicken Tenders

Instead of buying frozen chicken tenders at the grocery store, here is a recipe on how to make delicious and fresh chicken tenders in the comfort of your own home. No more worries on whether or not the chicken is free range or has growth hormones added, you can buy all your ingredients to your liking and feel safe eating it.

You say it's too much work to buy everything from scratch and make your own but this recipe is so simple it's ridiculous. Once you get the hang of it you won't need to think about how to make any recipe, it just comes to you.

Chicken Tenders:

Take any bread you like, I used half white and wheat bread. Put about 4 slices in the oven until golden brown and hard. Put the bread slices in the blender and blend until mixture resembles crumbs.

In a medium bowl add the crumbs, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1-2 tablespoons salt,  and pepper if you like. You can add in whatever seasoning you think you will prefer into the crumb mixture. Mix it until combined.

in separate bowl, take 2 eggs and beat them until the yoke and white are well combined.

Take your chicken and slice the pieces into the size you want your chicken tenders. In the image above I cut the chicken thigh into three pieces (not shown) using just one thigh.

At this point preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put the cut chicken piece into the egg mixture and coat it well. Then toss the chicken piece into the crumb mixture and coat it well.

Then arrange the well coated chicken pieces onto the parchment paper on the baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until no longer pink in the inside of the chicken.

Enjoy your chicken tenders with fries and a nice kale salad:)
