These are sweet and delicate crepes that go perfect with fruit, powdered sugar, maple syrup, or honey.
I found this recipe a long time ago and have used it ever since. I know a lot of people get intimidated by trying to attempt to make these scrumptious crepes but they are actually very easy to make. It’s an easy recipe with simple ingredients and very enjoyable to eat.
Crepes are a favorite in my culture and at my house!
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Tip: make sure you have a nonstick skillet and make sure your skillet is nice and hot and set on medium heat.
Beat the egg and milk together until combined. Add the flour a little at a time while mixing. Add sugar and salt until well combined. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Heat your skillet on medium until it’s well heated (I sometimes have to put a little bit of butter so it won't stick but I rarely have to do that). Pour 1/3 cup into skillet with ladle. Turn the skillet around and around so that the batter can spread all over to form a circular crepe. Do this slowly.
Flip the crepe over to the other side. It should take less than 15 seconds on each side depending on if your skillet is well heated.
